It's Not About Me

What if I lived truly embracing Who God is, and what His purposes are?

It’s Not About Me

This life is not about me.

It’s not about my successes.

It's not about my failures.

It’s about Jesus, my Savior.

It’s about God, our Creator.

It’s about his love, grace, and glory.

What if I lived each day remembering this?

How would my days be different?

What would look different?  What would slip away in unimportance?

How would I love my family more?

How would each fear disappear in the face of knowing that I am created in the image of God, to praise Him?

Would each breath be a breath of thankfulness?

Filling my lungs only to exhale in praise?

Would the day’s worries slide past with eternal perspective, allowing me to enjoy all of God's blessings?

It's not about me, or my comfort, or glory.

It's all about Him.

I Peter 4:7-11 (NIV)

The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithfulstewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
